Introducing the new RacingLine turbo inlet system, specifically for the 2020+ Volkswagen Tiguan R.

Because the Tiguan has different underhood dimensions between the intake and turbo compared to other MQB “Evo” models, only this version of the turbo inlet system fits the Tiguan R. The kit uses a different geometry for the silicone hose connecting the airbox to the turbo inlet.

This turbo inlet system therefore only fits the Tiguan R 2.0 TSI EA888.4 Continental Turbo.

The Tiguan R’s factory inlet forces airflow through restrictive plastic “bellows” tubing, before narrowing down to pass through a narrow, restrictive plastic turbo inlet—in other words, pretty poor for airflow.

To achieve the best possible airflow for maximum power gains, this Tiguan R turbo inlet system is available as a two-piece package, including a larger-diameter thin-wall Turbo 90 inlet paired with a reinforced silicone turbo inlet hose.

It is only by combining both elements of this kit that RacingLine was able to increase the diameter so significantly (+10 mm) to release those precious airflow gains.

The ultra-thin-wall Turbo 90 inlet features an internal velocity stack to maximize airflow capacity through the turbo inlet. The polished internal diameter of this Turbo 90 inlet has increased significantly from 74 mm on the factory part to 84 mm on the RacingLine version. The inlet is hand-polished and then anodized gloss black to look great and keep it that way.

Meanwhile, the inlet hose is made of high-quality reinforced silicone that prevents deformation under load or heat. RacingLine has carefully developed this hose to be flexible enough to allow the right amount of engine movement under load, while maintaining its strength under the most demanding conditions. The hose features stepped internal moldings to ensure smooth and uninterrupted airflow transitions.

Installation is simple. The system installs in about 30 minutes using only hand tools. And it can easily be returned to standard if desired.

The Tiguan R turbo inlet system is compatible with the best-selling RacingLine R600 intake, the factory airbox, or any other aftermarket intake.
