WHAT THEY DO

To harness your increased power and transfer it to the track where you need it, our upgraded transmission mounts will provide a much firmer ride and crucially add durability to any high-horsepower or hard-riding car.

The entire engine and transmission (transmission) are housed in just three locations. The two upper mounts support the entire weight of the engine/transmission, plus a third lower mount under the engine.

Our upgraded transmission mounts are a fully engineered and CNC-machined replacement set of three mounts, designed to significantly reduce engine and transmission movement, ensuring clean power transfer to the track.

The risk of wheel hop under hard acceleration is nearly eliminated, as the entire engine and box assembly are firmly prevented from vibrating when wheelspin occurs and during aggressive gear changes.

Available as a lower mount for fast road use only and a complete set of 3 transmission mounts for track/

drag strip/high-powered cars.

NEED UPGRADED ENGINE MOUNTS?

OK, these mounts aren’t the most visible or sexy modifications. But for those with experience, high-powered cars, or those who regularly use their car on the track, our upgraded engine mount set is truly one of the most beneficial upgrades to your car’s driving dynamics. Suitable for both DSG and manual cars.

The full upgraded engine mount set significantly stiffens the entire transmission mount, giving your car a much tighter and sharper feel. It eliminates the loose feeling when rolling on and off the throttle during aggressive gear changes, and banishes wheel hop under hard acceleration as the entire engine and gearbox slam into place.

This adds strength to the transmission, helping protect it from future wear and tear. Rather than some aftermarket “push-in” bushing that roughly fills the gaps in the original factory mounts, RacingLine mounts are a completely redesigned replacement mounting assembly and torque linkage.

Make no mistake, the fully upgraded engine mount kit is a relatively extreme modification to your car. Of course, more drivetrain noise enters the cabin (and more than with just the lower engine mount), but most enthusiast drivers love the feeling of being more “connected” to their car and the gentle “growl” the mount emits. After installation, wait a few hundred miles/km for the mount to settle in.

LOWER MOUNT

For most hard-riding street cars, we recommend starting with just the lower mount. You can always add the two upper engine and transmission mounts later.

Much of the forward/reverse movement in the transmission is controlled by the lower mount, meaning changing it alone makes a big difference to your driving experience.

The two additional upper mounts add more strength, but also add more NVH (noise, vibration, harshness).

Our A5 platform mount (think Golf 5/6/Scirocco/S3 8P, etc.) is a two-piece unit pressed into the subframe. It’s a clever dual-durometer design and features a cutout to clear larger roll cages on 4WD cars.

The MQB and MQB “EVO” platform Lower Mount also includes a billet aluminum torque link. Our testing has shown that the stamped steel part used on MQB platform cars lacks the necessary rigidity.

New: The lower mount is now available for MQB and MQB “evo” cars with an aluminum subframe, such as the Golf 8, Audi S3 8V and 8Y, and Audi TT.

PRECISION-ENGINEERED FOR PERFECT PERFORMANCE.

The mounts and torque linkage begin life as a solid billet of T6061 aluminum.

Our blend of polymers with varying durometer (hardness) values ​​allows for some compliance, yet filters out much of the drivetrain vibration.

Available for MQB ‘evo’, MQB, and A5 platform vehicles.
